About this role

Trilon Group is seeking a Traffic Engineer with either an EIT credential or PE license to join their Meridian office on a full-time, in-office basis. You would own traffic engineering projects across their lifecycle—from planning and design through analysis and delivery—working on freeways, interchanges, urban streets, and rural highways. Your day-to-day work includes producing traffic designs, signal and signing plans, maintenance-of-traffic strategies, and technical reports while applying MUTCD and DOT standards. You'll coordinate across roadway, drainage, utilities, and structures disciplines, support the Project Manager in tracking scope and budget, and mentor junior staff as needed.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree, a minimum of three years in transportation engineering, and either an EIT (with FE exam passed) or an Idaho PE license. Experience with local agencies in the Treasure Valley is valued, along with proficiency in Civil 3D or OpenRoads, knowledge of ITD standards, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration skills. The salary range is $82,000–$96,000, with a notable comp time policy that lets you convert overtime hours to additional pay or PTO. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, generous PTO, a 401(k) match up to 6%, professional development support, and paid licensure and membership fees.
