About this role
Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation seeks a Strategic Communications Manager to serve the 844th Communications Group at the Pentagon, supporting Air Force IT operations across the National Capital Region. You'll need an active Secret clearance and at least five years of specialized communications experience, ideally in a federal or military environment. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Arlington, VA, with a salary of $115,000–$125,000.
Your core responsibilities center on advising leadership on strategic messaging and communication best practices while ensuring alignment between the 844 CG and Department of the Air Force IT goals. You'll maintain regular on-site presence with squadron leadership, develop executive briefings and materials for distinguished visitors, create newsletters and service notifications for Air Force personnel, and serve on the Operations Fusion Team responding to time-sensitive requests. A significant portion of your work involves synthesizing operational data into authoritative briefings and white papers for General Officers and senior leadership to inform enterprise IT strategy and policy decisions.
The role demands someone comfortable operating at the intersection of communications, IT operations, and military command structures—someone who can translate complex technical information for senior audiences and work collaboratively across multiple squadrons and mission partners. You'll need a bachelor's degree in a relevant field (computer science, engineering, management, business, or related discipline) and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where your work directly supports Air Force operations.
