About this role

Totalbond's urgent care location in Charlotte is looking for a veterinary receptionist who can handle the distinct demands of after-hours and weekend emergency medicine. You'd be the first point of contact for stressed pet owners during some of their most difficult moments—managing check-ins, phone systems, payments, and medical records while maintaining composure through high-volume traffic and emotionally complex conversations, including end-of-life discussions. The role requires at least one year of veterinary reception experience, familiarity with practice management software (Cornerstone, Avimark, ImproMed, eVet, or ezyVet), and solid knowledge of veterinary terminology and protocols.

The schedule is fixed: Monday and Wednesday 3PM–10PM, plus Saturdays 10AM–8PM. You'd earn $19–$21 per hour based on your background, with full-time benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, a 401(k), and professional development support. This position suits someone who thrives in urgent care settings, communicates clearly under pressure, and genuinely connects with both anxious clients and animals in distress.
