About this role

ON.energy is building grid-safe data center infrastructure through battery energy storage and hybrid solutions, and they're looking for a Senior Project Manager to own the full lifecycle of these complex projects. You'd be the primary client contact and the central point of accountability for safety, schedule, budget, engineering, quality, and compliance across multiple BESS and hybrid energy initiatives. This is a hands-on role that requires managing EPC contractors and subcontractors, negotiating contracts, tracking budgets and forecasts, handling change orders and documentation, and mitigating risks—all while coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field and at least five years of progressive project management experience, ideally in battery energy storage or similar infrastructure work. You'll need strong proficiency with scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera, solid grasp of project controls and cost forecasting, and the ability to juggle multiple complex projects at once. Excellent communication skills and a track record managing construction contracts are essential; bilingual English/Spanish capability is a plus. The role is hybrid based in Houston, Texas (or Reston, Virginia), with travel to U.S. and Latin American project sites as needed.

This is a contract position offering competitive salary, performance-based bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) match, and paid time off for U.S.-based employees, along with professional development opportunities within a mission-driven clean energy company.
