About this role
Mission Road Animal Clinic in Prairie Village is seeking a veterinarian ready to step into an established, thriving practice with a clear pathway to ownership. This isn't a typical associate role—the clinic is actively developing future partners and co-owners, offering structured leadership training through VPP's Partnership Training Program, Leadership Academy, and peer networks of 200+ practice partners across 200 hospitals. You'd be joining a practice built on decades of community trust with a loyal, expanding client base in one of the Kansas City metro's most desirable communities.
Your clinical work centers on a steady companion animal caseload (dogs and cats only) across wellness, diagnostics, medical management, and routine surgery and dentistry. The practice is well-equipped with digital radiography, in-house IDEXX labs, ultrasound, and AI-assisted documentation, so you'll practice progressive medicine without the burden of building a caseload from scratch. You'll need a minimum of one year of small animal experience, comfort with routine soft tissue procedures and dental care, and an active Kansas license (or eligibility to obtain one).
The role offers genuine work-life balance: a four-day work week with Saturday coverage built in, no on-call duties, and Sundays and major holidays closed. Compensation ranges from $120,000 to $180,000 with flexible pay models, sign-on bonuses and relocation assistance available, comprehensive benefits, and generous PTO. This opportunity suits a motivated veterinarian with leadership ambitions who wants to grow clinically and professionally within a supportive community while building equity in a practice that's already succeeding.
