We’re looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Ads Specialist to own the full Google PPC process for our clients. This includes strategy and campaign setup, landing page creation, conversion tracking, launch, and ongoing optimization.

This role is primarily focused on Google Search Ads campaigns. You’ll work directly with clients to understand their goals, develop campaign strategies, build campaigns, create PPC-specific landing pages, set up and verify conversion tracking, launch campaigns, and use performance data to continuously improve results. The ideal candidate is comfortable owning projects from start to finish, communicating directly with clients, troubleshooting technical issues, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Google Ads Strategy & Campaign Setup

  • Build, launch, and manage Google Ads campaigns, primarily focused on Search and lead generation.
  • Develop campaign strategies based on each client’s services, goals, target audience, location, and budget.
  • Conduct keyword research and identify relevant search terms, match types, negative keywords, and opportunities for campaign expansion.
  • Build well-structured campaigns and ad groups based on search intent and the client’s services.
  • Write and test search ad copy, including headlines and descriptions.
  • Configure targeting, locations, bidding strategies, budgets, schedules, audiences, and other campaign settings.
  • Review and QA campaign setups before launch to ensure all components are configured correctly.
  • Make strategic recommendations when a client’s goals, budget, website, or service offering may impact campaign performance.

PPC Landing Page Creation

  • Create PPC-specific landing pages from the ground up based on campaign strategy, target audience, services, and conversion goals.
  • Develop landing page content, structure, headlines, calls to action, forms, and other conversion-focused elements.
  • Create landing page mockups for client review and approval.
  • Meet with clients to walk through landing page concepts, answer questions, and collect feedback.
  • Incorporate client feedback and make revisions before finalizing the page.
  • Build and publish approved landing pages.
  • QA landing pages before launch to ensure forms, links, calls to action, mobile responsiveness, and other key elements are working correctly.
  • Ensure landing page messaging is aligned with the campaign keywords, ads, and services being promoted.
  • Continuously identify landing page opportunities that could improve conversion rates and lead quality.

Conversion Tracking & Measurement

  • Set up and verify Google Ads conversion tracking for key lead actions, including phone calls, form submissions, and other relevant conversions.
  • Ensure conversion actions are configured correctly and attributed to the appropriate campaigns.
  • Test conversions before campaigns launch and after major changes.
  • Troubleshoot tracking issues and investigate discrepancies between Google Ads data and actual client activity.
  • Monitor conversion data and identify potential tracking issues when performance data looks incorrect.

About this role

Levitate is hiring a Digital Marketing Specialist in Toronto to own Google Ads campaigns from strategy through optimization. You'd work directly with clients to understand their goals, then handle the full scope: keyword research, campaign setup, writing ad copy, configuring targeting and bidding, and launching Search Ads campaigns. Beyond the ads themselves, you'd create PPC-specific landing pages designed for conversion, working with clients through mockups and feedback cycles, and set up conversion tracking to measure performance across phone calls, form submissions, and other key actions.

This role suits someone who's comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution—you'll need to troubleshoot technical issues, communicate directly with clients, and use performance data to continuously improve results. The company values curiosity, data-driven decisions, customer empathy, and the willingness to grow through feedback. The position is full-time, in-office in Toronto, at a salary of $65,000 CAD, with benefits including paid time off, parental leave, healthcare coverage, and professional development programs.
