About this role

Trilon Group's Water Resources team is expanding significantly with dam repair, removal, and climate-resiliency projects across New England, and they're creating this senior role to lead that growth. You'd oversee complex projects from initial planning through design, permitting, and construction support—managing scope, budget, and schedules while preparing technical analyses and permit applications. The position also involves mentoring junior engineers and contributing to business development, so it's as much about building capability within the firm as delivering individual projects.

This role requires a PE license and at least 10 years in water resources and dam engineering, with demonstrated expertise in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, CAD, and the regulatory landscape around dam safety. You'd be working across New England with clients, regulators, and internal teams, traveling 10–15% of the time. The hybrid arrangement lets you split time between the White River Junction office and remote work, and the firm emphasizes work-life balance through flexible scheduling and generous PTO.

If you're a licensed engineer with deep dam engineering credentials who's ready to lead projects and mentor others while staying connected to the technical work, this newly created position offers real scope to shape how the firm grows its water resources practice.
