About this role

Trilon Group's Water Resources team is expanding its dam engineering practice across New England, and this newly created senior role sits at the center of that growth. You'd lead complex projects involving dam repair, removal, and climate resilience from conception through design, permitting, and construction support—managing scope, budget, and schedules while coordinating with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams. The position also includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to business development, so it's as much about building capability within the firm as delivering individual projects.

The role demands a PE license and at least 10 years in water resources and dam engineering, with demonstrated success leading design efforts and producing permit-quality technical work. You'll need solid command of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software, CAD tools, and dam safety regulations, plus the project management and communication skills to shepherd work through permitting and stakeholder coordination. Travel within New England runs 10–15% annually.

The hybrid arrangement lets you split time between the Providence office and remote work, with flexibility around scheduling. The firm emphasizes work-life balance, professional development access, and generous PTO alongside standard health benefits and clear advancement paths. This is a full-time position; visa sponsorship is not available.
