About this role
Trilon Group's Water Resources team is expanding its dam engineering practice across New England and seeking a senior-level engineer to lead this growth. You'd manage complex projects spanning dam repair, removal, and climate-resilience work from initial planning through design, permitting, and construction support. The role combines hands-on technical leadership—applying hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, preparing regulatory submissions, and overseeing engineering analyses—with mentorship of junior staff and involvement in business development and funding strategy.
This position suits a licensed PE with at least 10 years in water resources and dam engineering who has led similar design efforts and can navigate dam safety regulations, permitting processes, and multidisciplinary collaboration. You'll need strong technical skills in modeling software and CAD tools, alongside solid project management and communication abilities. The hybrid arrangement in Boston allows flexibility while maintaining team connection, and the company emphasizes professional development, generous PTO, and work-life balance. Travel within New England is expected 10–15% of the time. Note that visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
