  • Create and update general 2D drawings in AutoCAD.
  • Coordinate dimensions and equipment interfaces with mechanical and electrical modelers.
  • Produce technical and presentation renders.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent training in BIM, architectural drafting, mechanical drafting, industrial design, engineering, or a related field.
  • About 1–2 years of experience in BIM modeling, REVIT family creation, technical drafting, or visualization.
  • Intermediate knowledge of REVIT family creation, including parameters, materials, categories, visibility settings, and family types.
  • Ability to read drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation.
  • Ability to communicate in technical English and work under supervision.

Software Knowledge

  • Required: Autodesk REVIT, AutoCAD, D5 Render or Twinmotion, Microsoft Excel, and PDF review tools.

About this role

ON.energy is building grid-safe data centers with advanced power infrastructure, and this REVIT Designer role sits at the center of translating that technology into buildable models. You'll create and refine REVIT families for the company's electrical equipment—panels, cabinets, transformers—working from vendor specs, CAD files, and 3D models to produce families that are both accurate and performant. Beyond family creation, you'll place equipment in full project models, generate technical drawings and 3D views, coordinate with mechanical and electrical teams, and produce renders for documentation and client presentations.

The role expects 1–2 years of hands-on BIM or REVIT experience and a technical foundation—whether from an associate degree, formal training, or equivalent work in drafting or design. You'll need solid intermediate REVIT skills (parameters, materials, visibility, family types), comfort reading technical drawings and 3D models, and fluency in AutoCAD, D5 Render or Twinmotion, Excel, and PDF tools. Inventor and Autodesk Construction Cloud experience are bonuses. This is an in-office position in Houston and suits someone ready to work under direction while building depth in BIM modeling for industrial-scale energy infrastructure.
