About this role

Pinterest's Toronto internship places you on real engineering projects alongside mentors and cross-functional teams, working on products and infrastructure that reach millions of users. You'll execute scoped technical work end-to-end—writing tested, documented code that contributes to production systems—while building both technical skills and professional judgment in a collaborative environment. The role emphasizes learning how to use AI responsibly as a development tool, validating outputs through testing and review rather than accepting them uncritically.

You'll need a strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, hands-on experience with languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, Go, or C++, and ideally some non-academic coding background through projects, hackathons, or open source work. The internship requires current enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science or a related field, with graduation by June 2029. Familiarity with AI-assisted development is expected, and you should be comfortable explaining your approach and thinking process.

This is a full-time, in-office internship (2–3 days per week in the Toronto office) running during standard business hours, with a monthly salary of CA$6,000–CA$7,500. Relocation assistance may be available. The role is open to Canadian applicants only.
