ABOUT THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is in office at our corporate headquarters in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
About this role
Hut 8 is building data centers, and this role owns the sourcing strategy for the specialized materials that make those projects possible—high-value, time-sensitive items like cables, electrical distribution equipment, and fiber. You'll work across Engineering, Construction, Finance, Legal, and Operations to lock in supply, negotiate terms that protect against commodity price swings and tariff changes, and keep manufacturing slots secured so nothing delays the build. The work spans the full lifecycle: running competitive bids with technical teams, structuring agreements with lead time commitments and warranty protections, dual sourcing critical suppliers to eliminate single points of failure, and tracking production milestones against project schedules.
This is a fit if you have five or more years sourcing or procuring electrical materials and equipment for capital projects, with real experience negotiating supply agreements that include metal price adjusters and other commercial complexity. You'll need to read technical specs and cable schedules at a working level, understand long-lead equipment dynamics and supplier capacity constraints, and be comfortable in a fast-moving industrial environment. A background in data center, utility, or mission-critical infrastructure is preferred, as is familiarity with ERP systems.
The role is full-time and based in-office at Hut 8's headquarters in Miami's Brickell area.
