About this role
Ascension is seeking a Gynecologic Oncologist to establish and lead a new gynecologic oncology service line at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. This is a rare opportunity to build a program from the ground up with institutional backing, rather than joining an existing practice. You would work within an established OB/GYN provider group and collaborate across surgical oncology, general surgery, and medical oncology in a multidisciplinary care model. The position includes access to advanced technology, including the DaVinci Xi robotic platform, and dedicated support from a PA, nursing staff, and administrative resources to optimize both clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities would span the full patient care continuum—managing inpatient and outpatient cases as admitting, attending, or consulting physician, driving quality improvement initiatives, and ensuring thorough documentation and regulatory compliance. You would also contribute to medical education as faculty in the Ascension OB/GYN residency program. The role suits physicians who are board certified or board eligible and who thrive in collaborative, mission-driven environments within a large nonprofit Catholic health system. Wisconsin medical licensure is required prior to hire.
