About this role

Ascension's Family Medicine opening in West Allis places you within an established four-physician practice supported by robust onsite diagnostics—lab, imaging, and rotating specialists—and guaranteed 1:1 medical assistant coverage. You'd serve a diverse patient population (roughly half commercial insurance, with significant Medicaid and Medicare populations) in a community identified for growth, with substantial Spanish-language capacity among staff to support bilingual patient care.

The role centers on comprehensive primary care delivery and care coordination, including managing specialist referrals, hospital admissions, and discharge planning across Ascension's integrated network. You'll also contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and outcomes. The position offers autonomy in managing your outpatient panel while working within a physician-led, collaborative culture backed by a national Catholic health system committed to long-term practice stability.

You'll need an MD or DO, Wisconsin medical licensure prior to hire, and Advanced Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross preferred). This is a full-time, in-office role at a 250-bed hospital serving approximately 560,000 people.
