About this role
Ascension Saint Agnes is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to deliver specialized endocrinology and diabetes care in an established outpatient and inpatient practice within Baltimore. You would work alongside two physicians in a collaborative model, managing complex chronic conditions through comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic interpretation, and treatment planning. A significant part of this role involves optimizing advanced diabetes technologies—interpreting CGM and insulin pump data, making clinical adjustments, and training patients to use these tools effectively. You'll also counsel patients on lifestyle modifications and connect them with community resources, supported by the practice's access to care management, social workers, and diabetic educators.
This position suits a clinician with a Master's degree in Nursing, current Maryland NP licensure with prescriptive authority, and a strong foundation in diabetes and endocrinology care. Preferred qualifications include proven experience interpreting and adjusting CGM and pump data, and either dedicated diabetes/endocrinology practice experience or extensive complex diabetes management in primary care. The role offers phone-only call coverage every three weeks and the stability of an employed position within a nonprofit health system serving a population of approximately 738,000 across an integrated referral network.
