About this role

Ascension's neurology practice in Jacksonville offers a full-time outpatient position within an established three-physician team at a 528-bed medical center. You would care for patients across the full spectrum of neurological conditions—headaches, epilepsy, neuropathy, stroke, and cognitive disorders—while building collaborative relationships with patients and families throughout their treatment. The role emphasizes evidence-based care and coordination with neurosurgeons and other specialists to deliver high-touch outcomes.

This is an employed position within a national nonprofit Catholic health system, which means practice stability and access to integrated referral networks across Ascension's broader system, balanced with local autonomy in how you practice. The facility serves approximately one million people and benefits from a strong referral base, so you would have a steady flow of complex cases. Board certification or eligibility in neurology is required; fellowship training in epilepsy is preferred but not mandatory.

The organization prioritizes physician-led culture, mission-centered care, and long-term stability. You'll need an active state medical license, DEA registration eligibility, and an MD or DO degree. Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
