About this role

Ascension's orthopedic practice in Baltimore seeks an experienced PA to deliver comprehensive outpatient care across general orthopedics and spine within a well-established teaching hospital network. You'll work Monday through Friday with no call obligations, performing clinical evaluations, conservative management, post-operative follow-up, and in-office procedures like joint injections, aspirations, and casting. The role emphasizes practicing at the top of your license with the support of an orthopedic team and the resources of a large nonprofit health system.

This position requires PA credentialing from the Maryland Board of Physicians prior to hire, BLS certification within 30 days of start, and a master's degree from an accredited PA program. While one year of prior experience is preferred, the listing suggests consideration of candidates with less background. You'll join a physician-led, collaborative culture within Ascension's national network while maintaining local autonomy, with the stability of an employed position rather than contract work.

The practice serves a 738,000-person population through a 251-bed teaching hospital and integrated referral network. If you value predictable scheduling, procedural variety, and the backing of a mission-driven Catholic health system without the demands of call coverage, this role offers a straightforward pathway to established orthopedic practice.
