About this role

Ascension's Internal Medicine team in Wichita is seeking a nurse practitioner to join an established outpatient practice alongside one physician. You'll deliver direct patient care—diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up—while collaborating with broader care teams on discharge planning and quality initiatives. The role emphasizes both clinical excellence and operational efficiency, requiring you to maintain thorough documentation that supports care delivery, compliance, and billing accuracy.

This is an employed position within a large, integrated health system serving roughly 660,000 people across a multi-specialty physician group. You'll have access to support staff and benefit from Ascension's physician-led, collaborative culture and national network, while maintaining local autonomy. The practice carries no call requirements and operates in an outpatient setting, offering stability within a mission-centered nonprofit Catholic health system.

You'll need a Master's degree in Nursing, Kansas Board of Nursing certification as a Nurse Practitioner (required before hire), and BLS certification within your first month. Two to four years of clinical experience is preferred. An RN license from Kansas is also preferred. If you're drawn to team-based primary care, value mission-driven healthcare, and want a sustainable outpatient schedule, this role offers a clear fit within an established practice.
