About this role

Ascension's Baltimore neurohospitalist position offers a primarily inpatient role within a 251-bed Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center serving a substantial regional population. You would join a four-person neurology team on a 7-on/7-off call schedule, leading inpatient consultations for complex neurological cases while collaborating with attending neurologists to maintain continuous care coverage. The employed position provides the stability and resources of a national nonprofit health system alongside local practice autonomy.

The role requires board certification or eligibility in neurology with fellowship training—neuromuscular subspecialty training is preferred but not required. You'll need Maryland medical licensure and DEA registration prior to hire, along with Advanced Life Support certification. This is a good fit for a fellowship-trained neurologist seeking a structured inpatient practice with a defined call schedule, strong institutional support, and the mission-driven environment of a Catholic health system.
