About this role
Ascension's Baltimore anesthesia department is seeking a CRNA for an employed position within a 254-bed hospital offering a diverse surgical mix—OB/Gyn, bariatrics, orthopedics, plastics, vascular, and general surgery—without the complexity of open-heart cases, pediatric specialties, or significant trauma exposure. You'll practice with substantial clinical autonomy across a full perioperative scope, performing advanced procedures including central lines, arterial lines, ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks, and neuraxial techniques. The department provides dedicated mentorship to build confidence in any procedures where you want additional support.
The role places you within an established team of 10 physicians and 17 CRNAs at a Level III facility, part of Ascension's national nonprofit Catholic health system. Staffing is structured flexibly to support work-life balance, and you'll have opportunities to preceptor students from three local training programs. This is an employed position offering the stability and resources of a large integrated health network while maintaining local autonomy in clinical practice.
You'll need current Maryland RN licensure, CRNA certification from NBCRNA (obtained before hire), a master's or doctorate in nursing anesthesia or nursing practice, and BLS certification within 30 days of start. ALS certification is preferred.
