About this role
Ascension's Family Medicine practice in Indianapolis offers an employed position within a well-established multispecialty group backed by a national nonprofit health system. You would work in an outpatient setting with manageable on-call responsibilities—approximately one week every eight weeks with low volume—while delivering comprehensive primary care to an established patient population supported by a strong referral base.
The role combines clinical breadth with teaching opportunity. Beyond standard patient assessments and treatment planning, you would perform minor in-office procedures like punch biopsies and lesion removal, and have the chance to mentor medical students and residents. The practice sits on the hospital campus with onsite lab and EKG services, giving you direct access to specialists and streamlined care coordination. This position suits physicians seeking stability within a larger system, collaborative practice culture, and the infrastructure of Ascension's national network while maintaining local autonomy.
You must hold an MD or DO, be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, and obtain Indiana medical licensure and DEA registration prior to your start date. Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
