About this role

Ascension's hematology oncology program in Indianapolis is building out a disease-oriented team and seeking a physician to join three colleagues and three advanced practice providers in both inpatient and outpatient cancer care. You'd work across the 86th Street Campus—a Level 1 Trauma Center with dedicated oncology and radiation services—and draw referrals from a regional network spanning five surrounding hospitals. The call structure is currently 1:3, transitioning to 1:6, and you'd have access to newly opened state-of-the-art facilities including the Lucas Family Brain & Spine Hospital.

This is an employed position within a nonprofit Catholic health system, suited for either an experienced hematologist/oncologist or a recent fellowship graduate. You'll need board certification or eligibility in both hematology and medical oncology, an MD or DO, Indiana medical licensure, and DEA registration prior to hire. Ascension emphasizes physician-led collaboration, long-term stability, and mission-centered care—priorities that may appeal if you value both clinical autonomy and integration within a larger health system serving roughly 970,000 residents across central Indiana.
