About this role
Ascension's Internal Medicine practice in Wichita is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a stable, physician-led outpatient team. You would work alongside four physicians and one other APP in a collaborative environment with no call requirements, supported by administrative staff and embedded within a large multi-specialty group serving roughly 660,000 people across an integrated referral network.
The role centers on direct patient care—diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up in an outpatient setting—while also contributing to quality improvement and cost-effective care initiatives. You'll manage documentation to support clinical operations and reimbursement, and coordinate care transitions including discharge planning. This is an employed position within Ascension's national nonprofit Catholic health system, offering the stability of a large organization paired with local autonomy and a mission-centered culture.
You'll need a Master's degree in Nursing, current Kansas RN licensure, and NP certification from the Kansas Board of Nursing before your start date. Two to four years of clinical experience is preferred. BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
