About this role

Ascension St. Vincent Indianapolis is seeking an OB/GYN hospitalist to manage labor and delivery triage, emergency gynecologic surgery, and high-acuity obstetric cases at an 825-bed Level I Trauma Center with a dedicated Level IV Perinatal Care Center and NICU. You would work alongside four OB groups and an integrated nursing team to optimize workflows and ensure continuity of care across all arrival types, from routine triage to complex emergency interventions like ectopic pregnancies and ovarian torsions.

The role suits physicians who are comfortable performing emergency GYN surgery independently and thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments. You'll need board certification or eligibility in OB/GYN, an active Indiana medical license, and Advanced Life Support certification. Ascension emphasizes physician autonomy within a collaborative structure—you maintain clinical decision-making authority while drawing on the resources and stability of the nation's largest nonprofit Catholic health system.

The position offers shift flexibility to accommodate your preferred work cadence, W-2 employment with national network backing, and the advantage of practicing within a nationally recognized program in a community-oriented setting.
