About this role
Ascension's Epilepsy Center in Milwaukee offers a full-scope neurology practice within an established, multidisciplinary team. You would work alongside a general neurologist, neurohospitalist team, and neuropsychologists in a setting that spans inpatient and outpatient care, including video EEG monitoring, an epilepsy monitoring unit, virtual visits, and telehealth services. The role includes access to a surgical program, investigational medication trials, and dedicated neurodiagnostic labs—resources that support both clinical depth and ongoing learning.
Your responsibilities would center on patient evaluation and management across the care continuum: admitting, attending, and consulting on hospitalized patients; coordinating with case management on discharge planning; and managing referrals within a 560,000-person service area. This is an employed position within a nonprofit Catholic health system, offering the stability and mission-driven environment that Ascension emphasizes alongside physician-led collaboration and local autonomy within its national network.
You'll need an MD or DO, Wisconsin medical licensure obtained before your start date, and Advanced Life Support certification (AHA or Red Cross). If you're drawn to epilepsy work with strong infrastructure, collegial support, and a mix of clinical and research opportunities, this role at Columbia St. Mary's Hospital—a 360-bed facility in Milwaukee—merits consideration.
