About this role
Ascension's cardiology practice in Jacksonville is seeking an NP or PA to join a substantial, physician-led team within a 528-bed medical center. You would work in both inpatient and outpatient settings alongside 34 physicians and 25 other advanced practice providers, supported by the infrastructure of a national nonprofit health system. The role centers on collaborating with supervising physicians to diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions, conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and deliver preventative care—essentially expanding access to specialized cardiology services for a population of roughly one million.
This is an employed position offering the stability and resources of a large integrated health system while maintaining local autonomy. Ascension emphasizes physician-led collaboration and mission-centered care within a Catholic health system framework. The practice draws from a strong referral base and sits within a well-resourced network, which typically translates to established patient flow and professional support.
