About this role

Ascension's Internal Medicine practice in Indianapolis seeks an NP or PA to join a stable, physician-led outpatient team. You would manage a full ambulatory schedule across nine weekly sessions—roughly 6 to 7 patients per half-day—handling preventive care, acute visits, chronic disease management, and post-discharge follow-ups. The practice operates within a robust 800-bed health system with strong referral networks, on-site specialist access, and real-time collaboration with eight established physicians, supported by modern infrastructure including Athena EMR and 19 exam rooms.

This is an employed position within a nonprofit Catholic health system, offering the stability and resources of a national network while maintaining local autonomy. You would serve a medically and socially complex, culturally diverse population with access to multidisciplinary teams and translation services. The hybrid arrangement and 100% outpatient focus suit someone seeking predictable scheduling without call obligations.

You'll need an active RN license before hire, BLS certification within 30 days, and NP prescriptive authority credentialed within six months. Board certification or eligibility in your specialty, plus Indiana medical licensure and DEA registration eligibility, are required. A master's degree in nursing is mandatory for NPs.
