About this role
Ascension's pediatric neurology position in Indianapolis offers a consulting-based practice with a manageable call schedule—one week in four—and a four-day work week split between inpatient and outpatient settings. You would join an established physician team at a 197-bed tertiary pediatric facility serving a two-million-person region, with particular emphasis on epilepsy management and EEG interpretation. The role provides access to a comprehensive support infrastructure including 24/7 specialist coverage, an integrated referral network spanning nearly 2,000 care sites, and robust office support through the Athena EMR system.
The position requires board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Neurology and fellowship training in the specialty, along with Indiana medical licensure and DEA registration. You would collaborate with a multidisciplinary, physician-led team to develop specialized neurological interests within the health system's network. Ascension describes its culture as physician-led and collaborative, emphasizing practice stability and mission-centered care as a national nonprofit Catholic health system.
This role suits someone seeking a structured academic or tertiary care environment with reasonable clinical hours, strong collegial support, and the infrastructure to build subspecialty expertise in child neurology.
