About this role

Ascension Public Safety Medical is seeking a licensed psychologist to join its Indianapolis-based outpatient practice, which specializes exclusively in serving first responders, firefighters, EMS personnel, and law enforcement officers. As the largest practice of its kind in the country, the organization conducts fitness-for-duty evaluations, pre-employment assessments, cognitive testing, and evaluations following critical incidents like officer-involved shootings. You would work within an established team of psychologists and manage cases across this specialized referral network.

The role requires a PhD or PsyD in psychology, Indiana licensure (or eligibility to obtain it), and board certification or eligibility in psychology. You'll need solid competency with the MMPI-3 and ideally familiarity with the BDI-2, BAI, PCL-5, and PAI. A background as a psychotherapist is preferred. This is a full-time, in-office position within Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system known for physician-led collaboration, practice stability, and mission-centered care.

If you have experience in occupational health psychology, law enforcement or military mental health evaluation, or fitness-for-duty assessment, this established practice offers the chance to deepen that specialization within a large, stable healthcare system.
