About this role
Ascension's gynecology practice in Tulsa offers a full-time employed position within a large, integrated health system serving roughly one million people across the region. You would join an established team of two physicians and one APP, sharing call responsibilities while working in a mixed practice setting that includes access to robotic surgery capabilities. The 500-bed facility functions as a Level I Trauma Center, providing the clinical volume and resources typical of a major medical center.
The role centers on direct patient care—evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment within your scope—alongside participation in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing outcomes and cost-effectiveness. You'll need to be board certified or board eligible in gynecology, with an active Oklahoma medical license and DEA registration in place before your start date. Ascension emphasizes physician-led collaboration and long-term practice stability as part of its nonprofit Catholic health system model, offering the combination of local autonomy and access to a national network.
This position suits someone seeking stability in an employed setting with established infrastructure and peer support, rather than a solo or startup practice. If you value mission-centered care within a large health system and want to practice in a community-based academic environment, this warrants consideration.
