About this role

Ascension's Chicago behavioral health program is seeking a clinical supervisor who will balance operational management with direct clinical work. You'll oversee daily staffing and admissions, manage the full employee lifecycle from hiring through performance evaluation, and step in to provide patient care and lead crisis response when needed. The role also requires ensuring all clinical documentation and program operations meet federal, state, and payer compliance standards—a significant responsibility in a regulated healthcare environment.

This position requires an Illinois clinical license (LCSW, LCPC, or equivalent credential) and a Master's degree; a high school diploma with two years of relevant experience represents the minimum education threshold, but the role clearly expects advanced clinical training. You'll work a standard Monday–Friday schedule with some on-call duties. The role suits someone with supervisory experience or readiness to step into it, who is comfortable moving between administrative oversight and hands-on clinical work, and who has the regulatory knowledge to guide a team through compliance requirements.
