About this role
Ascension's adolescent behavioral health unit in Wichita is seeking a registered nurse to lead clinical care for teenagers navigating mental health and substance use challenges. You would conduct thorough assessments across physical, psychological, and social dimensions, then design and refine individualized treatment plans that evolve with each patient's progress. Your day-to-day work involves co-facilitating group therapy, delivering evidence-based nursing interventions focused on coping and stabilization skills, and participating in multidisciplinary team conferences where you advocate for patients and help shape their long-term treatment goals.
This is a full-time, in-office position that demands both clinical judgment and collaborative leadership. You'll continuously monitor how patients respond to interventions and adjust care proactively—requiring the ability to synthesize complex information and act decisively. The role suits nurses with a genuine interest in adolescent behavioral health who thrive in team-based settings and want direct input into treatment planning.
To apply, you'll need an active RN license from the Kansas Board of Nursing and a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be obtained within 30 days of your hire date if you don't already hold it.
