About this role

Ascension's Scheduling Excellence Manager role centers on enterprise-wide strategy and governance rather than day-to-day scheduling operations. You would lead the development and implementation of scheduling best practices across the health system's ministries, working closely with operational and clinical leaders to balance staffing targets, labor budgets, and patient care demands. The position involves overseeing performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and partnering with market-level schedulers to strengthen schedule quality, reduce premium labor costs, and ensure equitable processes.

This role requires at least three years of direct experience in scheduling operations, workforce management, or staff coordination, ideally within healthcare. Familiarity with enterprise scheduling platforms like UKG is preferred. You'll need a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience at minimum, though an associate's or bachelor's degree can substitute for some of that background. The position is based in Tulsa and requires in-office work as a full-time employee at Ascension, a large nonprofit Catholic health system.
