About this role
Ascension's Jacksonville cath lab is seeking a technologist who can work at the clinical frontline of complex cardiovascular procedures. You'll support physicians in real-time diagnosis and treatment, managing hemodynamic monitoring, physiological data, and intra-procedural testing while maintaining strict sterile protocols and infection control. The role demands anticipation—reading the room, predicting procedural needs, and adapting quickly to keep cases moving smoothly. You'll also educate patients on post-procedure recovery and activity restrictions, making you part of their care journey beyond the procedure itself.
To qualify, you need either a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience, an associate's or technical degree, or four years of cath lab-specific work. You must hold a CCI credential as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or Cardiographic Tech in Electrophysiology before your start date, and obtain BLS certification within your first month. Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support certifications are preferred. Prior cath lab tech experience is a strong asset.
This is a full-time, in-office position within Ascension, a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce and recognized among the best places to work in healthcare.
