About this role

Ascension's Indianapolis interventional radiology department is seeking a technologist to support complex imaging procedures in a full-time, in-office role. You would prepare patients, manage contrast media and medications, position anatomy for imaging, and assist radiologists and physician assistants during angiography, vascular, and therapeutic interventional procedures. The work requires close attention to radiation safety protocols, patient monitoring during procedures, and the ability to recommend process improvements based on observed outcomes.

To qualify, you'll need BLS certification within 30 days of hire and either a Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI or a Radiologic Technologist credential from ARRT (the latter obtainable within six months of start). Your background should include either a high school diploma plus two years of relevant experience, an associate's or technical degree, or four years of directly applicable job experience. This role suits someone with hands-on technical training in medical imaging or cardiology who is comfortable working in a procedural environment and wants to deepen expertise in interventional specialties.
