About this role
Ascension's vascular nursing role in Nashville combines surgical and post-operative care across a broad spectrum of vascular and general procedures. You would support renal transplant patients before and after surgery, manage post-operative care for patients undergoing carotid revascularization and limb-saving interventions, and provide monitoring for general surgical cases. The work demands competency with advanced wound management techniques—including wet-to-dry dressings, wound VAC systems, and drain care—alongside proficiency with critical infusions like heparin, insulin, and PCA pumps.
This position requires a current RN license from Tennessee or a compact state, obtained before your hire date, and BLS certification within your first month. You'll need either a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited program. The role suits nurses with surgical or critical care experience who are comfortable with complex post-operative management and want to deepen their vascular specialty knowledge within a large nonprofit health system.
