About this role

Ascension's cardiac critical care unit in Indianapolis seeks a registered nurse to deliver high-acuity care for medically and surgically complex patients, including those with acute coronary events, advanced heart failure, and transplants. You'll manage sophisticated life support technologies—ECMO, ventricular assist devices, and ventilators—while continuously interpreting hemodynamic data and cardiac rhythms to guide individualized care plans. The role demands clinical judgment and technical competency to maintain patient stability through the most intensive phases of recovery.

Beyond bedside nursing, you'll coordinate care across multiple specialties to ensure seamless transitions for transplant and surgical patients, and you'll develop discharge plans that prepare patients and families for safe recovery at home. This is a full-time, in-office position within a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce.

You'll need an Indiana RN license before hire and BLS certification within 30 days of start. At least one year of critical care experience is preferred. Advanced Life Support certification is also preferred.
