About this role
Ascension's telemetry nursing role in Nashville centers on delivering high-acuity cardiac care in a hospital setting. You'll monitor patients continuously, communicate real-time clinical changes to the broader care team, and coordinate between multiple specialties—hospitalists, cardiologists, and nurse practitioners—to ensure seamless transitions and swift decision-making. The position demands advanced clinical skills, including cardiac drip management and ACLS protocols, alongside responsibility for the full discharge process from education through safe transition home.
The role requires a Tennessee-licensed RN (or multi-state compact license) with BLS certification obtained within your first month. While a nursing diploma or degree is the baseline requirement, Ascension prefers candidates with at least six months of acute care experience, which positions you to step into the technical and interpersonal demands immediately. This is a full-time, in-office position within a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce and recognized among the best places to work in healthcare.
