About this role

Ascension's Milwaukee location is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner for full-time, in-office work on a night shift schedule (6:30 PM to 7 AM, primarily Friday through Sunday, roughly 40 weekends annually). The role centers on monitoring and documenting patient respiratory status, evaluating treatment outcomes, responding to emergency resuscitation calls, and educating patients and families about their conditions and available resources.

You'll need a current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and BLS certification before your start date, along with Advanced Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support credentials within your first six months. The position prefers candidates with three years of adult critical care experience and competence in arterial lines and intubation; you should also be willing to train on advanced line placements including arterial, mid-line, and PICC insertions. Education requirements are a high school diploma or GED plus two years of experience, an associate's degree, or a technical degree.
