About this role
NextGen Security is looking for an experienced electronic security project manager to oversee complex installations for commercial and industrial clients in the Houston area. You'd manage all aspects of security projects—from initial planning and budgeting through installation, system programming, and quality control—while coordinating technician and subcontractor teams and serving as the primary customer contact. The role demands both technical depth and leadership: you'll need at least five years of hands-on experience configuring and maintaining enterprise access control, intrusion detection, and IP-based video management systems, plus solid networking knowledge and familiarity with AutoCAD, Visio, and MS Project.
This is a contract position based in-office, and you should be comfortable working independently, traveling occasionally, and operating a company vehicle. The ideal candidate brings vendor certifications (Software House, Genetec, ProWatch, Lenel, Senstar, or Milestone systems), understands local security codes and standards, and can work safely in chemical plant environments. NextGen offers compensation tied to experience, a performance-based commission package, full benefits, and a company vehicle. Pre-employment screening and background checks are required.
