About this role
Leading cardiovascular procedures at Ascension's Milwaukee facility requires real-time clinical judgment and seamless teamwork. You'll monitor cardiac parameters during invasive cases, communicate critical changes to physicians instantly, and manage the procedural environment—from anticipating equipment needs to maintaining infection control standards. The role demands both technical precision and adaptability, as no two cases unfold identically.
Beyond the procedure room, you'll mentor junior technologists, contribute to protocol development, and help shape operational standards across your team. Patient education and post-procedure support are equally important, ensuring people understand their care pathway and recognize warning signs at home.
You'll need either a CCI cardiovascular credential, an ARRT radiography credential with cardiac specialization, or equivalent experience—plus BLS certification within your first month. The position suits someone with at least two years of hands-on cardiovascular experience (or an associate degree plus one year in role) who thrives in high-acuity settings and genuinely enjoys developing others.
