About this role
Ascension's school therapy position places you directly in an elementary setting in the Indianapolis area, working with children who need behavioral health support. You'll conduct individual and group therapy sessions, assess students' needs, set treatment goals, and track progress—while coordinating with families, school staff, physicians, and community resources to build a complete care network around each child.
This role requires a master's degree in a counseling, social work, or related behavioral health field and a full clinical license (LMHC, LCAC, LMFT, or LSW/LCSW). You'll need prior experience working with children, with school-based therapy experience preferred. A bachelor's degree in social work is the minimum education requirement, though the master's and clinical license are essential qualifications. BLS certification is preferred but not required.
If you're a licensed clinician drawn to preventive and developmental work with younger populations, and you want to embed yourself in a school community rather than a traditional clinical setting, this full-time in-office role at a large nonprofit health system could be a strong fit.
