About this role

Keeley Construction's St. Louis headquarters is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage compensation and compliance across the organization. You'll process weekly certified payroll for multiple companies, maintain accurate employee records, handle tax documentation and garnishment orders, and support audits and year-end reporting. The role also involves responding to employee payroll inquiries and assisting with collective bargaining reconciliation—work that requires both attention to detail and clear communication.

The ideal candidate has one to three years of payroll or accounting experience, an associate degree in accounting or business, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook. Familiarity with multi-state tax regulations and experience with payroll systems like CMiC or UKG are valued. Background with multi-craft unions is a plus. You'll be working in-office at the corporate headquarters in a fast-paced team environment, so the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively matters as much as technical skill.
