About this role

Ascension's Telemetry Technician role in Indianapolis centers on real-time cardiac monitoring—watching continuous heart rhythms, spotting critical changes, and alerting clinical teams to potential emergencies. You'll document patient cardiac patterns meticulously, maintain equipment and supplies at the monitoring station, and serve as a key link between what the machines show and what nurses and physicians need to know to act fast.

The position requires a high school diploma or one year of directly relevant work experience, though relevant certification can substitute. Prior telemetry or EKG technician experience is preferred, as is a background in direct patient care such as a CNA or Patient Care Tech role. A genuine interest in cardiac rhythms and the ability to sustain focused attention on subtle pattern changes are essential to the work.

This is a full-time, in-office role at a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce. It's a good fit if you're detail-oriented, thrive in a clinical environment, and want entry or early-career experience in cardiac monitoring without requiring extensive prior credentials.
