About this role

Ascension's stepdown ICU in Indianapolis is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver direct patient care in a progressive care setting. You'll work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, managing medication administration, monitoring for adverse reactions, performing lab work and therapeutic services, and educating patients and families about treatment plans and post-discharge self-care. This role bridges acute and standard care environments, making it well-suited for an LPN with ICU or progressive care experience who wants to deepen clinical skills in a structured setting.

You'll need an active Indiana LPN license before your start date and BLS certification within your first month. A high school diploma or one year of directly applicable healthcare experience qualifies educationally. Prior ICU or acute care experience is preferred, though the role is open to candidates meeting the baseline requirements. Ascension is a large nonprofit Catholic health system recognized for workplace culture and support, offering the stability of a major healthcare employer.
