About this role
Ascension's occupational therapy role in Milwaukee centers on designing and managing individualized care plans while preparing patients for successful transitions to independent living. You'll work directly with patients to build their functional skills, and equally important, you'll educate families and caregivers on adaptive strategies and community resources to support long-term outcomes after discharge.
Beyond direct patient care, you'll mentor Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and therapy technicians, helping shape clinical standards across the team. Collaboration with multidisciplinary care teams is built into the role, ensuring patients receive coordinated, comprehensive treatment. This is a full-time, in-office position within a large nonprofit Catholic health system recognized for workplace culture and employee support.
You'll need Wisconsin OT licensure before your start date and BLS certification within your first month. A bachelor's degree is required; a master's or doctorate is preferred. If you're looking for a role that blends direct clinical work with mentorship and team leadership, and you're licensed or ready to be licensed in Wisconsin, this could be a strong fit.
