About this role
At Ascension's Jacksonville location, this full-time inpatient pharmacist role centers on medication safety and clinical collaboration within a large nonprofit Catholic health system. You'll review medication orders to catch and prevent drug-related problems, work directly with physicians on formulary optimization and drug information, and oversee pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and regulatory compliance. Patient education and counseling on medication therapies rounds out the clinical responsibilities.
The position requires a Florida pharmacy license and a bachelor's or advanced degree in pharmacy. While inpatient and residency experience are preferred qualifications, the core requirement is licensure. This is a hands-on clinical role suited to pharmacists who want direct involvement in patient care decisions and team-based hospital operations rather than retail or administrative pharmacy work.
