About this role

Ascension's Telemetry Technician role centers on real-time cardiac monitoring in an Indianapolis hospital setting. You'll watch continuous heart rhythms throughout your shift, catching subtle changes that matter clinically, then alert nursing and physician teams immediately when life-threatening patterns emerge. Documentation of cardiac events and patient recovery patterns is a core part of the work, as is keeping your monitoring station equipped and ready so surveillance never lapses.

The position requires a high school diploma or one year of directly relevant experience—though relevant certification can substitute for either. Prior telemetry or EKG work is preferred, as is a background in direct patient care like CNA or Patient Care Tech roles. If you have genuine interest in cardiac rhythms and can sustain focused attention on subtle clinical detail, this full-time in-office role at a large nonprofit health system could be a solid entry or next step in hospital-based cardiac care.
