About this role

Ascension's Home Delivery Pharmacy Technician role in Austin combines traditional pharmacy operations with direct patient engagement. You'll support pharmacists across multiple functions: maintaining and restocking automated dispensing systems, managing inventory, preparing orders, repackaging bulk medications, and handling supply logistics. A significant part of the job involves communicating with patients and coordinating between them, healthcare providers, and the pharmacy team—making this a role that requires both technical accuracy and interpersonal skill.

To qualify, you must hold Texas Registered Pharmacist Technician Registration and be PTCB-certified or credentialed through the National Healthcare Association. A high school diploma or one year of relevant pharmacy technician experience meets the education requirement. While not strictly required, the role strongly prefers candidates with at least two years of pharmacy technician experience and prior home delivery pharmacy background, which suggests this position suits someone with established technical competency rather than someone just entering the field.
