About this role
Ascension's high-risk obstetric nursing role in Indianapolis demands expertise in managing critically ill pregnant and postpartum patients. You'll deliver advanced hemodynamic monitoring, manage complex medication infusions, and interpret fetal monitoring data while keeping the patient's voice and preferences central to care decisions. This is intensive clinical work—stabilizing patients through obstetric emergencies, then coordinating their transition back to lower acuity care and supporting families through the aftermath.
You'll need an active Indiana RN license before your start date, BLS certification within your first month, and prior labor and delivery experience. Advanced Life Support certification is preferred. You'll work within an interdisciplinary team at a large nonprofit Catholic health system known for supporting its workforce, though this role is based on-site and full-time with the inherent demands of high-acuity obstetric care.
